Meet The Artists

Chris Paul – Tsartlip
“I think that both our weakest element and our greatest strength come from our humanity. Through my art I try to find the purest form of beauty and simplicity… At best, I believe we begin to understand this through art.”

In celebration of the art and culture of his people, Coast Salish artist Chris Paul is constantly learning and creating work in various media. His limited edition prints, carvings and jewelry are influenced by his growing understanding of language, songs, stories and ceremonies. In addition to mentors Floyd Joseph and Roy Henry Vickers, the artist acknowledges Charles Elliott and Susan Point as significant influences; Chris’s commitment and passion have led him to become the extraordinary artist that he is today.
